When Animals Lebanon was founded in 2008, Lebanon had no national animal protection law. Nine years of campaigning, drafting and coalition-building later, Law 47 of 2017 on Animal Protection and Welfare was passed.

The campaign continues: a law is only as strong as its enforcement. We work with ministries, municipalities and courts to make sure the law is applied, and we publish every enforcement win.
